Common questions
How do I play?
Tap anywhere to start a run and tap to jump. Hold right after a jump to go higher, and keep holding in the air to backflip. Let go before you land so the skis line up with the slope. Coming down on top of a rock bounces you off it; running into one is a fall.
What is Zen mode?
Zen mode has no score, no falls and no coins: you simply ski through the day and the aurora night. Turn it on under Settings → Zen mode.
How do I get coins, and what are they for?
Coins hang along jumps and garland lines in Ride. They pay for wardrobe pieces. If you would rather not wait, the Market on the home screen sells packs of coins as optional in-app purchases.
I bought coins but they did not arrive
Coins are added as soon as the App Store confirms the purchase. If the app closed in the middle, open it again while online: an unfinished purchase is delivered at launch. If they still have not arrived, write to us with the date of the purchase and we will sort it out.
How do I restore a wardrobe piece I paid for?
A few premium wardrobe pieces are bought once with real money. On a new device, or after reinstalling, open Settings and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account. Coin packs are used up when bought and cannot be restored.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. You can ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Can I stop in-app purchases on a child's device?
Yes. On the device go to Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → iTunes & App Store Purchases and set In-app Purchases to Don't Allow.
Does the game need the internet?
No. Only the Market and Restore purchases need a connection.
Will I lose my progress if I delete the game?
Your best score, coins and settings are kept on your device, so deleting the game removes them. Premium wardrobe pieces bought with real money can be restored; coins and pieces bought with coins cannot.
The text is small, or the motion is too much
Settings has Larger text and Reduce motion, along with separate switches for sound effects, music and haptics.
